Value Drug is an independent purchasing cooperative with over 1,200 independent pharmacy members throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. They were an underserved outlet during the late 2021 / early 2022 spike of Covid-19 cases. Test manufacturers and distributors were not giving Value Drug the same priority as major brand name pharmacy chains resulting in a lack of inventory for local communities. We were able to respond quickly by supplying Value Drug’s first delivery of tests within a week of receipt of a purchase order. We also provided consulting services to guide Value Drug in adapting its purchasing protocols to stay ahead in the race for this coveted product.
